the homegroup was set up on my last pc running on windows 7 but the windows 10 laptop joined ok. i also have a laptop on windows 10 basic, the single language version they sell in asia. it has the 'can't set up homegroup'problem. i have just loaded windows 10 home onto a new pc.
now instead of deleting any one file, delete all the files and folders available inside peernetworking folder and repeat all the steps again. 9.if the problem still persists then visit the same peernetworking folder as you have visited at step 1. 9.join the homegroup again which will fix cannot create homegroup on windows 10 issue.
this works in most cases, where the issue is originated due to a system corruption. Fix: can not join or create homegroup on windows 10 if the issue is with your computer or a laptop you should try using restoro which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files.
